My masterlist of the stories I've written for [livejournal.com profile] watsons_woes July Writing Prompts.  I'm amazingly pleased with most of these given they all ran the gamut from idea to completion within 24 hours, but I've bolded my top favourites.  All are in the BBC Sherlock fandom.

I don't know about you, but I find that interesting.  Even with a tight twenty-four hour deadline, I can write things I'm consistently happy with, that people consistently enjoy reading.  And I've also managed to put out 6% I'm not happy with.  Out there.  Gone.  Finished.  No longer obsessing over or letting them sit abandoned.  For me, that is an incredibly big acheivement.  26% humour, and only 9% angst!  Go, me!

33,000 posted words in a month is also a record.  I haven't written that many unpolished words in a month since I finished NaNoWriMo ten years ago--and I've *never* written that many quality, moderately polished, complete words in a single month.  I am flabbergasted.

I also finished every single day in on time.  For a woman who started the year with the goal of dramatically increasing my finished-things output to once per month... wow.  I am pleased with myself. It's been a huge learning experience, and fantastic practice on fluency and hammering in the concept that ideas are a dime a dozen--and that originality comes in execution, and 'not good enough' ideas are not necessarily bad.  That good enough on the execution is genuinely good enough.  And that I can simply choose a single way to finish something without needing to get caught up for weeks or months in the best way to finish it.

And I've had fun.  I've read and commented on other people's fics, even if I've let the last few days slide by for catchup after the end of the month.  I've felt part of a community of people who love the same things and the same people, and the consistent posting has earned me a few new followers who enjoy my work.  Mostly, I've managed to keep the household running and the children clean and fed.  There's been a few late dinners, a few comments from Hubby about looking forward to the end of the month, and once my nearly two-year-old nearly fell asleep on the floor in a puddle of drool waiting for me to put him to bed.  And I also helped my friend write up her painful affidavit, organised a spectacular birthday party including making this cake and threw an appropriately over-engineered "Things That Go" birthday to go with it for said now-two-year-old.

Life is pretty good.  I don't think I could keep up this pace all the time, but... I can do this.

Congratulations on writing so much, and being so consistent. I'm so pleased you took part in the challenge - especially because I enjoy your writing and it's my fandom :)

The birthday cake looked awesome and I'm sure the "Things That Go" birthday was a triumph. It brings back memories of reading books with tractors and lorries etc.
